In these General Terms and Conditions, the following terms have the following meanings:
2Marry: The special registrar of marriages and registered partnerships who attends to the (wedding) ceremony.
Client: Every natural person that has entered or wishes to enter into an agreement with 2Marry.
Agreement: Every quotation of 2Marry that is accepted by the Client, or every assignment the Client gives to 2Marry that the latter accepts.
Formation of the agreement
An agreement between the Client and 2Marry will be formed after the Client agrees by email or signs the quotation. The booking becomes definitive as soon as the € 200.00 down payment has been received. Through payment of the down payment, the Client also agrees to the General Terms and Conditions drawn up by 2Marry.
Fee and payment
The estimate submitted by 2Marry for solemnisations of marriages and registered partnerships and commitments ceremonies in the Netherlands is a fixed price. We always work with prices that include VAT.
The rate for commitments ceremonies abroad will differ per country in connection with the associated travel and subsistence expenses. Therefore, a custom quotation will be drawn up for ceremonies abroad.
At all times, any costs associated with the one-day appointment in the municipality of the wedding and the charges/costs applied by the relevant municipality are excluded.
After the agreement is entered into, 2Marry will send the 1st invoice. Of the total amount, the € 200.00 down payment will be included in the 1st invoice. The remaining amount must be paid on the basis of a 2nd invoice, no later than 7 days before the start of the ceremony, by being deposited into the bank account specified by 2Marry.
The Client will owe 2Marry all the extrajudicial and legal costs involved in the event that, despite being given notice of default, it fails to pay a sum owed to 2Marry, and 2Marry passes on the claim for collection.
Accident/illness 2Marry, contingencies
The Client cannot claim compensation if 2Marry is unable to comply with its obligations due to force majeure, such as, for example: strikes, transport difficulties, extreme weather conditions, traffic jams, traffic diversions, illness, death or any other issues that can reasonably be considered force majeure.
In such case, 2Marry will make every effort to find a replacement within 2Marry’s trusted network, on which it will obviously consult with the Client as much as possible.
2Marry is not liable for any loss that should be suffered by the Client or third parties as a result of the services provided by 2Marry, unless this is due to wilful misconduct or gross negligence on the part of 2Marry.
The compensation to be paid by 2Marry in connection with an attributable failure in the performance of the assignment will under no circumstances exceed the amount of the agreement between 2Marry and the Client (including VAT).
In the event that the Client cancels the assignment, 2Marry will charge the following costs:
In the event of cancellation up to 30 days before the start of the (wedding) ceremony: 30% of the total amount.
In the event of cancellation up to 14 days before the start of the (wedding) ceremony: 60% of the total amount.
In the event of cancellation in the last 14 days before the (wedding) ceremony: 100% of the total amount.
The cancellation must be effected in writing, by registered letter.
The agreement will end with immediate effect and without judicial intervention being required in the event that: The wedding location changes within 48 hours before the ceremony, and this change leads to disproportionate travelling time.
In the event that the Client fails to comply with his payment obligation or defaults on payment. The Client applies for a moratorium, bankruptcy proceedings are instituted against the Client, the Client loses the power to dispose of his assets or income, in full or in part, or any part of his assets are attached..
The agreement will also end with immediate effect and without judicial intervention being required in the event that: 2Marry is put into liquidation, 2Marry discontinues its business operations, or 2Marry’s wedding registrar passes away or is ill on the day on which the solemnization of the marriage is to take place.
2Marry will make every effort to perform its duties properly. Still, the Client may be dissatisfied with 2Marry’s performance of the services. If the Client has a complaint, we request that he inform us of that. That is his right. It gives 2Marry the chance to resolve the complaint and improve the services. Complaints can be addressed to:
